What is Christianity?

Most believers have their own idea what Christianity is. And most people would be wrong. Going to church and sitting on comfortable pews. Then hearing a sermon and going home doesn’t fulfill our duty to God. Assembling ourselves on a regular basis is a small part of Christianity. The majority of our work in the kingdom is outside the church walls. Jesus took the gospel to the streets to seek and to save that which was lost. He was hated and persecuted because of the truth. People saw the truth and what it meant to them. They didn’t want to change. Jesus came to this earth to call us to repentance, to establish the church and to die for our sins. Jesus became the servant of all. Then He said is the disciple isn’t greater than the master. Jesus said if you want to be great in the kingdom, then be the servant of all. Christianity isn’t what you think or want. It is sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ with the world. This means that we will have to change everyday. It means that we will be conformed to the image and likeness of Jesus. The Bible says that when Jesus returns, we will see Him, because we will look like Him(1 John 3:2). I will ask you a question. If you don’t look like Jesus, will you see Him when He returns? To look like Jesus, we have to be conformed into His image and likeness. Go look in the mirror to see what you look like. If you can’t see Jesus, you have a lot of work to do. Christianity is faith, trusting and believing, in God and walking with Jesus all the way home. Do you have a good pair of walking shoes (reading the gospels)?
