Jesus had risen, the Holy Ghost was given to man, and the disciples now had the boldness of God. Peter and John went to the temple for the hour of prayer. They had to enter at the gate Beautiful. There was a man lame from birth, begging for alms. He called out to Peter and John for alms. Peter looked upon him and said, silver and gold I don’t have, but what I do have I will give you. In Jesus name, rise and be healed. Peter took his hand and pulled him up. As he came up, he was healed. He began leaping and praising God. So much so, that all the people in the temple came to him to see what had happened. Peter began to explain about Jesus. He told them they needed to repent ask for forgiveness and believe God. This man, Peter, was the same man who denied Jesus and hid from the religious leaders for fear of his life. So what happened to him? It was the baptism of the Holy Ghost that changed everything. The power of God picked him up and turned him into the leader of the church. Boldness is a gift of God. And if you are willing, God will give it to you. Just step out into boldness.

Jesus had ascended into heaven. The disciples had gathered in the upper room for Pentecost. There were about 120 people gathered. They were waiting for what Jesus had promised, the infilling of the Holy Ghost. It was about mid morning, when a strong wind came through the room. God had begun to fill the disciples with the Holy Ghost. Tongues of fire landed upon each person. And the Holy Ghost gave them utterance as He willed. They weren’t quiet. They made so much noise that people in the street heard them. Then the Jews in the street, from all over the world, began to hear the disciples speak in their native language. The people didn’t understand. These disciples were Galilean. Peter with the 11 began to speak to the Jews. Peter told them it was Jesus who you crucified, did God raise from the dead. And this was the promise God gave to the prophet Joel to fulfill all scripture. And God isn’t a respecter of persons. What He did for Peter, He will do for you. If you ask Him. The baptism of the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking with new tongues is for us today. And all you have to do is ask God for it.

As children, we are instructed to be able to one day stand on our own two feet. Jesus had rose from the dead. He appeared to the disciples many times for 40 days. Jesus told them to go to Jerusalem for Pentecost. He said there you will recieve the Holy Ghost and the power of God. It was to be able to preach the gospel to the utter most parts of the world. They watched as Jesus ascended into heaven from the mount of Olives. Then made their way to the upper room. It was the day before Pentecost. While in upper room, Peter, under the direction of the Holy Ghost, spoke to the apostles that they needed to replace Judas with one of their own. Justus and Matthias were chosen. Peter casts lots, urim and thummim, to see who it would be. The lot fell to Matthias. They continued in prayer, because it was almost time for the appearance of the Holy Ghost.

Jesus had risen and the disciples had seen Him. Jesus told them to go to Galilee. I’m sure it was for their protection. There were final instructions that Jesus had for them. The disciples were anxious about the future and didn’t know what to do with themselves. Peter said let’s go fishing. They were mostly professional fishermen. They went night fishing. Dawn came and they caught nothing. As they got close to shore, someone on shore asked if they caught anything. They said no. He said cast your net on the other side of the boat. They did and the nets were instantly filled. John said it is Jesus. Peter jumped into water and swam to shore. Jesus had a fire ready to cook breakfast. He gave them their final instruction, to feed His sheep, to take care of His church. What has God told you to do in the kingdom? You maybe anxious about it and may revert back to what is comfortable. But what are you going to do about His instructions to you? The world is before you.

Faith is a belief system. Just as doubt is a belief system. The bible says as you believe so are you. For out of the heart are the issues of life. Jesus was crucified and buried. The disciples had gather on the third day. Mary Magdalene went to grave to finish wrapping Jesus. The stone was rolled away. She ran back to tell the disciples. Peter and John ran to the tomb. Peter looked in, but John went in and saw the grave clothes folded on the tomb. They went away in unbelief. Mary sat down crying. She went in to see the tomb. 2 Angel’s sat on the tomb and asked her who see was looking for. They said He is risen. She turned away and saw Jesus. She thought He was the gardener. She asked Jesus where was the body, because she didn’t recognize Him. Jesus said, Mary. She saw Him and believed. She went back and told the disciples. They didn’t believe. Seeing isn’t faith. Faith is belief. Faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen.

Most don’t believe that God is in control. They go about their lives as if it was all they had. It’s a hopeless circle. Day in and day out, there nose to the grind. God gave Jesus a choice, whether or not to go to the cross. Jesus choose the cross. The religious leaders judged Him and took Him to Pilate. He didn’t find any guilt in Him, the blameless sacrifice. The religious leaders cried crucify Him. So, much so, that Pilate said take Him and do what you will. The Romans took Jesus and 2 others to the place of the skull to crucify them. You would think all is lost. But the thief on the right of Jesus asked for forgiveness. Jesus told him that he would be with Him in paradise today. God’s plan will accomplish whatever no matter what man thinks or does. And the place of the skull, golgatha, is a place of honor. My hope is in the one who rose from the dead, Jesus.

As a believer, we will walk through trials. Each one may seem like the end of the world. But God is walking us through to get us to other side. Don’t misunderstand, they will be fiery trials. They are meant to burn off excess baggage. Everything that doesn’t look like Jesus. And if you don’t go through that particular trial, you will go around that mountain until you finally go through. God isn’t a man that He should lie. Has He not said it. Shall He not do it. The religious leaders took Jesus to the high priest, to question Him. They question Him, but they couldn’t condemn Him to death. They took Him to Pontius Pilate, the Roman governor. After questioning Him, Pilate couldn’t find any guilt in Jesus. Pilate sought to release Jesus. But the religious leaders cried against it. They would rather release Barabas, a known murderer, than Jesus. Then they cried crucify Him. What would you do in the middle of your trial? God made us to walk through even unto death.
