Moving a mountain..

Prayer has been of subject of mind for a very long time . It is talking to God and having a conversation. As Jesus taught of disciples to pray he said to enter into God’s courts with praise. Praise will get you into the throne Room and get God’s attention. We must 1st believe that he is and a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. Jesus said of the be attitude seek ye 1st the Kingdom of God and his righteousness and all these things shall be added on to you. When we enter into God’s throne Room he hears and listens to us. When he does God answers us. When we pray according to God’s will we have the answer we desire. There is another part to the prayer. We have to stand until that prayer manifest itself on this Earth. The standing board sometimes is tricky for people. Most people believe that God should answer prayers immediately. The longest prayer that I had answered from God was 22 years. The shortest prayer was in a blink of an eye. Anyone who believes God will answer their prayers. Then it is up to us to stand in faith believing that God has answered our prayers. Our faith is what moves mountains. Edit never depends on the size of the mountain. It always depends on our faith.

Staying in an Attitude of Prayer 2.0

“Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints” (Ephesians 6:18 KJV).

Prayer is being consciously aware of God and entering into His presence. The most effectual praying is done before the throne of God. In God’s presence, we know that God will hear us and answer our prayer. But it doesn’t mean that we have to leave the throne room. We can go about our daily life in the presence of God. In Colossians 4:2, it says continue in prayer, and watch in the same with thanksgiving. Watching in the same is staying in an attitude of prayer. As we go about our daily life, God can direct us into His will. And the truth of the matter is that God wants us to share our daily life with Him.

When Nehemiah came back to Jerusalem from the Babylonian captivity, the temple wasn’t finished nor the walls of Jerusalem built again. Everyone had gotten busy about building their own lives, the cares of this world. Nehemiah called all the people of Judah, God’s people, together. He said that the temple and the walls had priority over everything. And everyone, including the princes of Judah, were going to work on building the temple and the walls. The enemies of Judah didn’t want the Israelites to rebuild Jerusalem and walls. Nehemiah had everyone to carry their shield and sword as they worked on the walls. One half of the people would stand watch as the other half worked on the walls. Then they would switch places.

Our watch is the same. We are put on our shield, faith, and our sword, the word of God as we stand watch over the kingdom. This is staying in an attitude of prayer.

What Do You Believe?

Since the sin of Adam, God has required that man repent of his sin and turn to Him for forgiveness. Then God will forgive and heal our heart. After Adam, it did take long for sin to work on man, his children, Cain and Abel. Abel believed God and trusted Him. Cain didn’t believe and killed his brother Abel because of it. The devil is at work in man since the beginning of time. Man began to believe the devil that he didn’t need God for anything. When trouble began to over power man, sometimes man would call on God for help. But it wasn’t consist nor did man believe God. God calls to us to come home, but everything gets in the way. The cares of this world hang on us like bad fitting clothes. But God has always had His people. In every situation and every place, there are believers. People who will believe no matter what. And God uses these people to bring about His will on this earth. Just as Jesus walked on this earth going about doing good, so are the children of God. And just like the prophets of old, we are persecuted and killed for His name sake. But name of Jesus is above all names. He is the King of kings and the Lord of lords. And at the name of Jesus every knee will bow and every tongue shall confess that He is Lord.

“If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land” (2 Chronicles 7:14).

Did not our Heart burn within us?

In Luke 24:13-32, It was the third day after Jesus was crucified. Peter and John had gone to the tomb. Peter didn’t believe, but John did. Two of the disciples were headed home to Emmaus. Jesus drew near and began to walk with them. He asked what they were talking about. They began to tell the story of Jesus’s crucifixion. But they didn’t believe that Jesus rose from the dead. Jesus didn’t reveal Himself to them. Jesus said, fools don’t you believe the Law and the Prophets? He began to expound on the scriptures starting with Moses about what Christ was going to do. When they reach their home, they wanted the stranger to come into their home and have a meal. When they sat down, Jesus broke the bread and bless the wine. Their eyes were opened and Jesus disappeared. They said to each other, didn’t our hearts burn within us as He expounded on the scriptures. When is the last time your heart burned within us at the presence of God? Do you believe what the scriptures say about Jesus Christ? And if you do believe, when is the last time you did anything about it? If you believe your heart should be burning. And if it does, you should be working in the kingdom of God. The two disciples ran back to Jerusalem to tell the other disciples that Jesus had truly risen from the grave. Believing isn’t sitting in a pew on Sunday. Believing is putting your faith into action. If you believe that Jesus is Lord, then your life should show it to the world.

Angels Unaware.

In Hebrews 13:2, it says that we should show hospitality to strangers, because some people have entertained angels unaware. It has happened to me twice. Right after I was saved, my brother and cousin were going to city 20 south of my home. I stopped and picked up a hitchhiker. A young man who was headed to work in the Gulf of Mexico. The Holy Spirit prompted me to share the gospel with him. I was hesitant, but eventually did. We stop in the place we were going and let the young man out and walked in the building. The Holy Spirit prompted me again to speak to him. I turned around to go talk to him. when I walked outside, he was no where to be found. Immediately I knew who he was. The second time happened on a trip to Mexico to visit my wife’s family. We stopped in a gas station in Texas near the border of Mexico. This guy came up to me and asked for money. We offered him food and drink, but he refused. He started walking away. My wife said go after him and give him the food. I was 10 steps behind him. He rounded a corner of fence that lead to an open field. I rounded the corner and there was no one. It was just an empty field. Again I knew who he was. God uses angels to help us work out our salvation. The Bible says that we were made a little lower than the angels. The angels are at the beckon call of God. They carry out God’s will on this earth. Some people have entertained angels unaware.

The Fire of Youth.

I like to listen to Christian worship music. It has changed over the years. I was a music director for a Christian radio station. It was the best job I ever had. I would listen to all the music that came into the radio station. I would choose the songs with the strongest anointing of the Holy Spirit on them. Not only could I feel the anointing but could hear it also. When I left that job, I could hear the music changing. It wasn’t getting better. It was getting more worldly. The anointing was leave the music. I stopped listen to what was being played and only listened to what I had. It took twenty years before I heard the change in the music. God invented music for worship, not to sell to the world and make money. Christian music came back to worship because of the fire of the youth. As in all things, not all Christian music has the anointing of the Holy Spirit. But the worship music of today has the fire that I saw and heard and felt years ago. It’s all to the glory of God, who lives and reigns forever and ever.

What does the Glory of God look like?

In the garden of Eden, Adam saw God as He is. God walked and talked with Adam. He was the last man to see God’s glory face to face until Jesus came. Because of Adam’s sin, no man could stand in the presence of God without dying. Abraham saw God’s glory when God made a covenant with him. Moses, when he saw the burning bush, fell on his face and didn’t look up. On mount Sinai, Moses only saw God’s glory only as God was walking away. And all the saints of God that lived and died before Jesus, all wanted to see God and His glory. The thick veil in the Holy of Holies in the temple was there to prevent people looking upon the glory of God. And yet when Jesus died on the cross, the veil was rent in two. It was torn by the hand of God to signify our way back home. God not only wants to see us and for us to see Him, He want to talk to us as our Father. God wants to abide in us. Our flesh can’t enter into the presence of God because it is cursed. But our spirit can enter into His presence. The Bible says that as we are changed into the image and likeness of Jesus, we will see Him when He returns. The bible says by reading, praying and doing the word of God, we will be changed into His image. Then we will see the glory of God.

“And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, and we beheld his glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth” (John 1:14 KJV).

I Hope.

Waiting on the Lord isn’t always easy. In this world of instant gratification, we want it now. We don’t want to wait for anything. But God isn’t bullied or coerced. The gospel has given us hope that God’s word is true. And we can believe in something greater than ourselves. We don’t have the power to change anything. In the this new year, how many resolutions have you broken already? We want something real and powerful enough to help us live this life. With our hope we have expectations. Our faith grew out of our hope. And with our faith, God is changing our lives. We still have hope in Jesus, because without it we wouldn’t believe in God anymore. Hope is so fragile. It can be broken if we don’t take care of it. How do we take care of our hope, by reading the word of God. It is the word of God that changed us in the first place. As we hope in the mercy of God and Jesus, we believe that we will not be ashamed for believing. Because God will defend us to protect this hope we have in Him. Our hope shows the world that God is alive and real. That He is working in our lives and can work in others. Hope is an important part of our life with Jesus in the kingdom of God.

According to my earnest expectation and my hope, that in nothing I shall be ashamed, but that with all boldness, as always, so now also Christ shall be magnified in my body, whether it be by life, or by death” (Philippians 1:20).
