Don't leave Home without it.

Forgiveness. Don’t leave home without it. Jesus taught about forgiveness in the Gospel of Mark, chapter eleven, and verse 26, “For if you do not forgive, neither will your Father in heaven forgive your trespasses.” We need God’s forgiveness, and we need to forgive others in order to see God’s blessing in this life and heaven in the next life.

Speaking what you Believe.

Any body who has gone to church, has spoken and sung songs from their bible. They have repeated scriptures they have been taught. But what do you believe. Repeating scriptures and songs are a way for you to not only hear, but to recieve the truth. The bible says out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speak. Also it says, as we believe, so are we. It doesn’t take long to know what a another person believes. Just let them talk and it will come out of them. Not everyone will believe on Jesus. They will try to fake it, but the truth will out. Next time you sing a song in church, think about what you are singing. And whether or not you believe. As the bible says, life and death are in the power of the tongue.

Young and Old.

I look at a picture of my grandson and think about being young. All the things I went through and all the things that he has to go through. God says that a person who is a 100 years old is still a child. We were made to live forever. But because of sin our lives are cut short. God promises a long life if we will listen and obey. When I was young, I would climb trees. There was a large cedar tree in our yard. It was over 50 feet tall. At the top was a fork that I would sit in it and watch the world go by. It was such peace that I only get in presence of God. I want my grandsons to know that peace. And to know the resurrection power of Jesus Christ. Who was and is and is to come. The peace of God is yours when you are young and old.

I was reading in Luke 5, about the men who brought a man on a pallet to Jesus. The man had palsy. Jesus was in Peter’s house. There were a multitude of people pressing in to see Jesus. The men couldn’t get close enough to Jesus. But they weren’t going to give up. They climbed on top of Peter’s roof, broke it open and lowered the man before Jesus. Jesus saw the faith of these men and was moved. He forgave his sins and healed him. Faith without works is dead, being alone. If you believe, it must be put into action. When you believe, you must be determined to do something about it. Look around, God will show you people and things that are in need. Then do what God says. The love of God is shed abroad in our hearts, so that we by faith can change the world. Be determined today to do the will of God in this world.

Fellowship in Jesus.

As individuals, we sometimes have a tough row to hoe. But God requires us to work out our own salvation. So how do we get through to the other side? We can get through this world by the love and fellowship of Jesus. And by being part of the community of believers. Everyone has a similar and different path to walk for God. We must stand up and face our life and trials. But we have help from our community by prayer and support through faith. God is moved by prayer and faith and will help us through. So, it’s up to us to be part of God’s plan. 1 John 4:4-7 “Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that liveth is born of God, and knoweth God…….”

As a Christian, I am part of a community. But I am also an individual. My walk with God has been as an individual. My fellowship with my community is in Jesus. Jesus and the disciples were walking through a corn field. They were hungry and plucked ears to eat. It was a sabbath day. The pharisees fussed at Jesus for breaking the law. Then Jesus healed a man’s withered hand on the sabbath. And pharisees this time wanted to kill Jesus. But as Jesus explained He is Lord of the sabbath. Doing good has no boundaries. Jesus went about doing good and healing all the were oppressed of the devil. Don’t be afraid of being an individual Christian. Let God used you in the work of the kingdom as an individual and as a community.

Life and Death.

Life and death are two sides of the same coin. Yet man is so afraid of death, that he will do anything not to die. The bible says that the fear of death keeps man in bondage all of his life. When Jesus descended into hell, He took the keys of death and hell away from the devil. Then took captivity captive and ascended into heaven with the saints. Jesus talked about this in Matthew 16. If you follow Jesus, you must deny yourself or consider yourself dead. Because once you die to self, death isn’t important to you. What is important is following Jesus. As Jesus put it, you find life. Matt.16:20 “For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the world and lose his own soul?” (KJV).

Jesus said it in the gospel of John, chapter 14, verse 6: “I am the Way, the Truth, and Life. No man comes to the Father but by Me.” Jesus is God Who came to us in the flesh of a man to live a sinless life, and be crucified, and then rise from the dead. He calls us to Him through repentance and faith. He is Lord. No one will see God without coming to Jesus.

Free Will.

God wants us to stop playing games with him, to be on fire for Him, and to say no to sin! This is a wake up call for all of us! Jesus is coming back very soon! We need to make a chose, who we will serve! God or the devil! By not choosing we made a chose to serve the devil.
Let’s all examine ourselves and asked God to show us. Amen

Revelation 3:15 – “I know all the things you do, that you are neither hot nor cold. I wish that you were one or the other!
3:16 – But since you are like lukewarm water, neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of my mouth!
3:17 – You say, ‘I am rich. I have everything I want. I don’t need a thing!’ And you don’t realize that you are wretched and miserable and poor and blind and naked.

The act and ability of being faithful. It’s an old fashion word, that seems to have been lost in translation. We look for faithful people in this world. Because we know that we can trust them. Today in America, the divorce rate is about 50%. Where is the faithfulness? We look at Congress and we see a group that has broken faith with the American people. We want faithful people in our lives to feel secure. The bible says there is no one righteous, all have sinned and gone astray. Which means we can’t put our trust in any human being. Then who can we trust? There is only one we can trust with our heart. In 2 Timothy 2:13 “If we believe not, yet He abideth faithful: Jesus cannot deny Himself.”
