Before they went to the Upper Room, they were at Simon the leper’s house. The bible doesn’t say who the woman was, but she came about supper time, as they were seated to eat. She took a bottle of myrrh and poured it on Jesus’ head. The disciples began to fuss. Jesus told them that she did it for my burial. And that she was to be remembered for it. The next day, Jesus gave 2 disciples instruction on where to prepare the Passover meal. Jesus said you will find a man carrying a pitcher of water. It was not hard for the disciples to find the man, because men didn’t carry water, only women. They followed him to the owner of the house and asked the use of the upper room.
On the Passover table, there is a placed reserved for the
Messiah. There was bread, striped and pierced, and wine on the table for the Messiah. Jesus sat at this place. He took the bread broke and said, eat. This is my body. He took the cup of wine and said, drink. This is the blood of the new testament shed for the remission of sins. And when they sang a hymn, they went out into the mount of Olives.
