In Hebrews 13:2, it says that we should show hospitality to strangers, because some people have entertained angels unaware. It has happened to me twice. Right after I was saved, my brother and cousin were going to city 20 south of my home. I stopped and picked up a hitchhiker. A young man who was headed to work in the Gulf of Mexico. The Holy Spirit prompted me to share the gospel with him. I was hesitant, but eventually did. We stop in the place we were going and let the young man out and walked in the building. The Holy Spirit prompted me again to speak to him. I turned around to go talk to him. when I walked outside, he was no where to be found. Immediately I knew who he was. The second time happened on a trip to Mexico to visit my wife’s family. We stopped in a gas station in Texas near the border of Mexico. This guy came up to me and asked for money. We offered him food and drink, but he refused. He started walking away. My wife said go after him and give him the food. I was 10 steps behind him. He rounded a corner of fence that lead to an open field. I rounded the corner and there was no one. It was just an empty field. Again I knew who he was. God uses angels to help us work out our salvation. The Bible says that we were made a little lower than the angels. The angels are at the beckon call of God. They carry out God’s will on this earth. Some people have entertained angels unaware.
