My Book on Prayer.

My book on Prayer will be released on October 11. It consists of 20 chapters about my journey from the beginning of my walk with God until now. It shows how I developed a relationship with God as I learned how to talk to and hear from God. It also shows how as I studied and learned the scriptures; my faith grew in the Lord. God set down in the scriptures what is expected of man. As we learned of God and grow in the wisdom and understanding of the Word of God, we will develop a strong relationship with God. All of this depends on our willingness to pursue God. When I first came to the Lord, I was a servant and happy to be one. As I read the Word of God, I learned that I was a son and a joint heir with Jesus. With the Baptism of the Holy Spirit, I received the power of God to work in the kingdom of God. As my faith grew, I was able to take on more task that the Holy Spirit assigned to me. Prayer is communication with God and being able to be in God’s presence. This is what I always wanting from the beginning of my walk with God. God is my Father and Jesus is my older Brother. God knows what man is like and what he will do. So, God made it simple for us to follow Jesus all the way home.

Sorrow and Righteousness.

Most people don’t understand that God feels the pain of sorrow. Because God is All-powerful and All-knowing, We think that God doesn’t react to anything that happens. We are the image and likeness of God. Because of that we have the emotions of God. All the emotions that we go through God goes through. The only difference is that he has the power to do something about it. If you read The Bible through the history of the Israelites, you see and understand how God sorrows. There are so many examples of how God sorrows. But the worst of all is when he had to looked upon his Son hanging on the cross. The Bible says that Godly sorrow leads to repentance. To repent you have to truly sorrow that you hurt God. It isn’t just because you got caught. Godly sorrow is what leads us to righteousness. Next time you wanna do your own thing think about God and what he goes through. Then think about the pain that you cause Him because of it. Righteousness and sorrow go hand-in-hand. When you sorrow before God, He will begin to move in our lives. If you want revival, it will only come through heart felt sorrow.

What is this about?

What is Christianity about? I’m sitting in my comfortable reclining chair and thinking about Christianity. I want Christianity to fit into my thinking. But the ways of God are higher than mine. When I think of Christianity and all the possibility I look at the people around me. There are so many forms of Christianity it’s hard to comprehend them all. Yet which one is right. Then I read The Bible and see what God says. And surprisingly most of the forms of Christianity don’t fit what God says. So who is true the word of God or man. Man wants what he wants. But God has chosen a way that’s much better than ours. I was reading in Isaiah 53 about Jesus and his crucifixion. God set Jesus to bring us back to him. Then after his death and resurrection Jesus became an intercessor for us. Jesus is constantly praying that we make it home. So it comes down to it really doesn’t make any difference what we think. It only makes a difference what God says. We are all unique. And we approach God differently because we are unique. But the constant in this world is the word of God. It doesn’t make any difference what we think. The only difference in this world is what God says. This is Christianity.

The Shedding of Blood.

The disciples walked with Jesus for about 3 years. They fell in love with Jesus and loved Him dearly. Their relationship was more like a brother than anything else to them. When Jesus asked Peter do you love Me. Peter said I love you like a brother. He didn’t quite understand what Jesus was talking about. It took the death of Jesus for the disciples to see they loved Him with their whole heart. It was devastating when the lost the love of their life. This is a broken and contrite heart.

We ask for revival to come to America, but are not willing to be broken so God can use us in His service. Brokenness is what leads to revival. Not only in ourselves, but in the world in general. If people cannot see that God is real and alive in us, what hope is there? God want us to live in His presence, which means living in the light of God. The light of God shines in all the dark places of our heart. This is when we actually see who we are and need to repent of our sins. Brokenness and being Contrite is part and partial to doing what God wants. And the only way revival comes is to be broken before God.

A Broken and Contrite Heart.

The Old Testament was written to show us that we were sinners and separated from God. In Psalm 51, it says that we were born in sin. Because of the sin of Adam and Eve, we are separated from God until we repent of our sins. God doesn’t come to us with a big stick, ready to beat us up because of sin. He speaks softly and in love to woe us back home. God wants us to choose Him. This is what glorifies God. That understanding that we are separated from God is placed in our heart from the beginning. It’s why people fight against God. They see their sin and don’t like or want to see. The bible says man saw the light but loved darkness instead. It’s not easy to live in sin. There is so much destruction in our lives because of sin. The devil came to steal, kill and destroy. He is the father of sin. God wants us to choose Him freely. The repentance means turning away from sin toward God. Unfortunately, man turns to God after a major disaster in our lives. It doesn’t have to be that way. God is easily entreated. He loves us with His whole heart. And is wanting and willing to take back anyone that repents or turns back to Him. And all we have to do is to ask for forgiveness.

Prayer by Crain Blanchard.

The other day I wrote about my book on prayer being published on October 11, in about 4 weeks. My book is about my journey with Jesus from the beginning of my walk with Him. I have been walking with the Lord for over 40 years. there are many details about God that I have learned all along the way. God teaches us line upon line, precept upon precept, here a little and there a little. I pursed God with an open heart wanting to learn as much as I could. It’s funny, I have pursed God for over 40 years and I only know just a little bit about God. God says that now on this earth we hear and know in part, but when we shall see God face to face, we will know as we are known.

On my last blog about my book, I tried to leave a link to purchase the book, but it didn’t work. I now have the right link. Here is the link on Amazon.

Weary in Well-doing.

The phrase is from Galatians 6:9. The chapter is on how to deal with a person in sin. It says that we are to be gentle toward that person so they will choose God and not the world. In Psalms, it says a soft word turns away anger. Two of the gifts of the Holy Spirit are gentleness and meekness. We all can become frustrated with people and with ourselves. When we don’t see the result immediately. But seeing the results is a long game. Look at your life at how long it took for you to accept Jesus. Don’t you think people were frustrated with you. Through gentleness, I saw the truth in my life. I didn’t like what I saw. But it was necessary for me to get to that place where I knew I needed God. Jesus is our example. He was and is very gentle with us. There is no big stick to hit us with or angry words when we sin. It is just a small gentle voice that calls us home. We need to understand that we could be caught in the same situation, except for the grace of God that keeps us. When we humble ourselves before God and man, we fulfill the law of Christ. And it takes humility to deal with a person in sin. It is a shield of faith that will prevent us from falling into sin. Remember, that pride goes before destruction. Your salvation is as sure as your commitment to God. He that endures to the end shall be saved. This is a choice that we must make on a daily basis. Because no one can walk with God without being humble.

The Heart of God.

When we think of God we think of strength and power. We don’t think of God in terms of who we are. God-made us in the image and likeness of Himself. We have all these emotions that literally can drive us crazy. But we don’t think that God has these emotions too. The Bible says that God is love. It also says that He is all-powerful, all-seeing and all-knowing. Yet God weeps. He is touched by the feelings of our infirmities. He takes pleasure in our joy. He takes no pleasure in the death of one of His saints. But somehow we don’t put together God’s feelings and His heart. We have the same emotions and feelings that God has. If we seek God and open our heart to hear His, we will see and feel the heart of God. We are like God but without the power to live the right way. God has to give us the power to live His way. And His way is the only way to live. So, seek God first and let Him show you His heart.

Prayer by Crain Blanchard.

I have been writing a book for almost a year. I have spoken about it on several occasions. It is a book about my journey with Christ. I started 40 years ago. When I first came to the Lord, I wanted to hear His voice clearly. I studied the Word of God and pursued God every day. I wanted to know who this God was and what He had for me. Everybody had their own story, but I wanted to make my own with Jesus. So I began to walk and study what God said in His Word. I will tell you a fact, I am so homesick I can hardly stand it. This world is not our own. We are just walking through to get to heaven.

Prayer is communication with God. Therefore I wanted to hear God’s voice clearly. Do you know who God’s voice is? It is Jesus.

The book will be release on October 11, 2021. It is already on Amazon. Right now you can pre-order the book and it will be shipped on October 11. It is also at Barnes and Noble.

I hope and pray that this book will bless you and strengthen your walk with Jesus. The link for the book is below. God bless and keep you. Crain Blanchard.

Caught up in the circumstances.

It is so easy to get caught up in your circumstances. Our lives become a routine. In our routine we don’t have to think about what we’re going to do. That’s when the danger comes in. If we don’t think for ourselves or we’re consciously aware of our surroundings, we can get into trouble. Most people walk into trouble blindly. God’s word is there for us to understand what life is about. When we speak we prove that we don’t know what we’re talking about. As much as man wants to be independent and strong, We have messed up our lives. The Bible says there are none righteous no not one, only God is righteous. So when we see ourselves caught up in circumstances that’s the point that we need to stop and think about what God has done for us. Then we will see the world as we’re supposed to through God’s eyes.
